You're all so far away now. But I haven't moved an inch.
It's some crazy tidal lock that keeps me tethered to everything past and the longer I stay the harder it is to pull away. Sometimes I come out from the shadowed side to greet you all from a distance. We are old friends, me and the awkward dance of bridging the time-gnawed gap.
And inevitably I must swing back and away. It is my nature.

My problem is that I want to be everywhere and with everyone so I don't miss a thing. It's not the point, the task would be endless and pointless. Though sometimes it's hopelessly hilarious.
